Well here it is the last Saturday in April and I have to admit I am glad tomorrow is May 1st!! Each day that goes by is closer to warm weather here in Michigan!!
We have had a cold, rainy Spring so far and I am soooo ready for summer weather!! 
I love Spring too but it seems like we aren't getting many warm spring days so I am all for going right into summer!!
Not a lot going on here..Fred is starting to put a fence around our garden area to hopefully keep the little varmints from eating all the plants when he puts the garden in...then yesterday we had to go out and get a new pump/filter for the fish pond...Here's a picture of our pond..(taken last June)
We really like the pond..enjoy hearing the water running down the small waterfalls...so we got that installed last night..now on Monday if the weather is decent Fred will empty it out and clean it and refill it...it's a little murky at the moment!!
Tomorrow is church as usual..we are having a carry in dinner after the service but we aren't planning on staying as we are invited to Pam and Dan's for dinner. Our oldest grandson..Randy..(Pam's oldest son) is coming down for dinner and bringing his girlfriend Emily who we are meeting for the first time...so we are looking forward to that!! So nothing else planned tomorrow except for a relaxing afternoon at Pam's...

Well I am finally getting back here to "try" to catch up on what's been happening here!
It's been a busy month of April so far. Our daughter turned the big 50 last week and we had a fantastic SURPRISE birthday bash for her!! Pulled it off without her having a inkling that it was going to happen!!

For her birthday I put together a photo album for her from birth to currently..she liked it and it was a big hit at the party!!
We have had some true Spring weather the last few days. I am so thankful for the warmer temperatuYesterday I had my hubby bring all the large storage tubs (7) that we keep the Christmas decorations in out of the garage and put them on the deck and then I sorted and reorganized the tubs and got rid of some broken, damaged, old "stuff" so when November comes around decorating the Christmas tree will be much easier...even remarked the contents on all the tubs. Big job done.
Hubby has run the rototiller in the garden..has started veggie seeds in the house for planting later..spring is in the air!!! Praise the Lord!! I am sooo ready!!
I think this is long enough for today..will have to try and get back here more often so I don't get so far behind in telling you what's going on here...have a wonderful Thursday tomorrow...and may God bless you big!!
Oh one more photo for you..can you believe that this poinsettia is still blooming and looking pretty?? I got it about 2 weeks before Christmas and it's still going strong..

Well Praise the Lord it is finally April!! It seems like the winter months have gone by pretty fast but for some reason March seemed as long as all the other months put together!! It probably didn't help that 2 weeks of March my hubby and I were both sick with sinusitis and a terrible cough. (Still have a little nagging cough but pretty much gone!)
Have had a good week this week. I stayed with my youngest granddaughter...Morgan..2 days while her mom went to work. Morgan who is 10 has been sick with a strep infection...they didn't have a clue it was strep as she had no cold symptoms/sore throat...but kept running a low grade fever so Wednesday her mom took her to the doctor and that's what she had. (Scarlatina was the official diagnosis.) Then today she was scheduled for a follow up appointment and by the time she got there she had large red lesions/welts on her legs that were so painful she complained about walking. They told her mom that this is one of the side affects from the strep and is called erythema nodosum...so now it's just rest and motrin and hopefully it goes away soon! (she is on an antibiotic for the strep)...
Wednesday I finally got to join my Bible study after missing 2 weeks while I was sick. It was good to be back with all the ladies.
Been working on another 'project' but will tell about that next week. Tonight we went to Cracker Barrel and had fish and chips...delicious as usual. Made a stop at Walmart and picked up a few things and then headed home for a quiet evening.
Tomorrow I will be doing some errands and the first of the month bill paying...so it's just our normal routine around here.
Today brought some temperatures a bit warmer..around 48 degrees...I am so ready for 60 degrees!! I have a new swing waiting to be put together and of course they weather isn't appropriate for using it yet so there is no big rush but I am so anxious for the weather to get nice so I can take my book and go out in the swing and enjoy the outdoors!!
This photo is from last spring but I couldn't resist sharing..it won't be long and they will be blooming again!!
