Happy Valentine's Day!!

What better day to get back to post here on my blog!! Valentine's Day!!  It has always been a special holiday to me because it was just before Valentine's day in 1956 that I met my husband.  I was a junior in high school and was introduced to him by a friend's boyfriend!!  Seems like so long ago in some ways but then I think....56 years???? Where has the time gone??
In those years we have had a great marriage...5 children now all married and doing well...17 grandchildren...3 of them married and giving us 4 great grand children with 2 more expected in a few months..(one in May and one in August!)  Of course there have been some rough patches but for the majority of those years Christ has been the center of our marriage and that has certainly kept us on the right path.

Today being Valentine's day we normally do go out for lunch/supper and give each other some memento... but we are going to do some cooking at home tonight and put off our "date" until next week...But my honey brought me flowers today and we exchanged cards...don't think we have ever missed remembering each other in some way on this day of February!!
