Sunny Monday!

Good afternoon..it's a gorgeous spring day here in Michigan!! About 60 degrees and gorgeous outside..(I think my swing is calling to me..."bring a book with you and relax a while!!" I may have to do just that.. It was a busy weekend and looks like the start of a busy week..tonight we are meeting up with Tim (our youngest) and family for supper at Texas Roadhouse to celebrate Tim's 42nd birthday!! Yikes where did the time go..his Mom must be really getting old!! (lol) Then I have Bible study on Wednesday and some shopping to do afterwards..then Friday night is a birthday party for one of our grandsons..Jake who is celebrating his 14th birthday...Saturday one of our granddaughters ...Megan who is celebrating her ....18th....birthday..so a busy week..but I love it!! Oh almost forgot Tuesday night a strings concert that Jake and Nick (his younger brother) are performing in..♫♫ Going to get busy here but at least I am posting and I had strict orders from my daughter Pam..so here ya go Pam!! ♥

"Early" Sunday Morning...

Well it's already Sunday morning but I am still up and messing around with my blog..I got a reminder from my daughter Pam today to go to my blog and post!! So here I am.

It's been a busy week..lots of birthdays in our family in April..our daughter Lori's birthday is the 7th and her 22 year old son Josh also celebrates his birthday the same day!! Well we didn't get to celebrate until this week as Lori was with our high school band at Disney World last week..Her daughter Megan is a senior and is in the marching band and they spent the week there and marched in the evening parade on Wednesday. So this week we had several lunch/dinners out to celebrate. And we have 4 more birthdays before the end of the month!! Yikes..well........Happy Birthday to all you April birthdays!!

Friday night I went to the musical "Mame" to see our grand daughter Morgan who was one of the singers in the chorus..had a good time and of course she did a great job!! She goes to Rossford High School which is about 30 minutes from us. Tonight I went to our high school (my alma mater) to see Megan who was in Showcase..a type of talent show..she sang a duet with her friend Katie..they did a great job too!!

Hello!! It's been a while since I have posted..but just wanted to check in and say hello..It's been a gorgeous Springlike day here in lower Michigan!! I have crocuses blooming and the daffodils aren't far behind. Had lunch out today with a dear friend from church..celebrated her birthday and had a really great time....Did some shopping and then came home and enjoyed some "outdoor time" for a while..We are suppose to have another few days of this nice weather and so I feel blessed! Lots of news in our family...we have a grandson Josh and his fiancee Kari getting married this August...our granddaughter Megan will be graduating in June from high school... Megan will be performing at Disneyworld over Easter break in April..she will be marching in the parade with her high school marching band. Lori and Bill (mom and dad) are also going to be going as chaperones so it will be a little like a family affair!!
Will try and be better about posting here...but am going to close for tonight..time for bed..have Bible study in the morning!!

This is a sample of "lots" of pictures we took on our 52nd Anniversary trip this past fall...it was a lot of fun and absolutely beautiful!!

It's a beautiful day in Michigan..lots of snow on the ground..we got about 5 inches yesterday and today it's very windy and so we have a lot of blowing snow..Not too much going on here..I made a pot of chili this morning while hubby was out shoveling the snow..then later had chili and homemade (bread machine) bread for lunch..tonight we are going to Nick's (grandson) 12th birthday party..lots of fun and food I am sure!! Most of today was just doing the normal everyday stuff around the house..I am in the process of reading a Elm Creek Quilts Novel.."A Quilter's Holiday" the series is written by Jennifer Chiaverini and I like all of her books!! Hopefully there will be a sequel soon!

Good evening..oops good morning!! It's 1:00 am and I should probably be in bed but thought I'd come here first..as you can see by my photo, I am still enjoying the poinsettias from Christmas..Our tree is still up too and we are both enjoying it..this is the best reason for having an artificial tree that I can think of..no dry needles, no bare branches from falling needles..and because of that it can be left up much longer. I like to stretch out Christmas as long as I can!
Today was a cold day but no snow... we are under a winter advisory for tomorrow and into Friday...up to 6 inches of snow...but today I went to the store and stocked up on basics and some meat etc so I don't have to go out if the weather gets bad. Seems when we have this warnings it ends up not materializing but that would be fine with me. I am looking forward to Spring and of course my favorite season SUMMER! We are having lots of .......and I am ready for ....... Even spring would be good!! Seriously I am ok with the weather...I know that's what is expected when you live in Michigan! And as much as I would love to live where it's warmer, my kids and the majority of my grandkids live close to us here so that's where we will stay!
