Grateful Friday- November 30th

Well Friday came and went...I meant to get here and completely forgot so I am actually posting this on Monday the 3rd...will try to get it to post like it's Friday!! LOL

*Saturday* Grateful for another warmish day...especially for the end of November...Enjoyed lunch at Cracker Barrel...one of our favorite places...watched football...all in all a nice Saturday.

*Sunday* Picked up Morgan for church...had a wonderful service..great praise...great Word..

*Monday* Worked on my Bible study homework...was blessed to meet with one of the young ladies at church...had a latte and muffin with her at Tim Horton's and lots of "getting to know you stuff".

*Tuesday* Grateful for some motivation to declutter!!  Had a nice visit from Lori...Did a little Christmas decorating..

*Wednesday*  Morning Bible study...awesome time..Shopping at Walmart afterwards...got baby shower gift..nice relaxing afternoon.

*Thursday* Spent the day (10:00-5:00) with my sister.  Shopping, getting her hair done, and having lunch with her to celebrate her 82nd birthday!!  So blessed to have her in my life!!

*Friday*  Laundry, grocery shopping..sort of a catch up day!  Mexican restaurant for supper...

Grateful Friday

Good afternoon the day after Thanksgiving!!  We had a beautiful day yesterday...wonderful to have the whole family together and to have wonderful "warm" (for us) weather!!  Being inspired by a friend who started a Friday tradition of posting her week of gratitudes each Friday on her blog, I am going to attempt to do something like that here on my blog.

*Saturday*  a beautiful fall day.  Got a lot done around the house and even grocery shopping..spent the afternoon enjoying watching Michigan football...

*Sunday* Morgan's call to ask to be picked up for church!!  Lunch at Applebee's with our son and his wife..great fellowship and "catching up".

*Monday* Lazy kind of day....cooler..good chili weather...love these kind of days.

*Tuesday* Breakfast for lunch at Bob Evans with my best friend...my hubby!!

*Wednesday* Christmas lights put on the house and the other decorations on the porch are done!! Thankful for my hubby who spent the afternoon doing this!!

*Thursday* THANKSGIVING!!  So thankful for a wonderful get together with our family and friends...

*Friday* Catch up day and supper at Red Lobster

Thanksgiving Blessings!!

Thanksgiving...almost here...

I am finally here again....I have been really planning on coming here and posting but always seem to put it off...so I thought with Thanksgiving just a couple days away, this was a good time...
Thanksgiving we are heading to Pam and Dan's...it will be all of our kids and their families along with extended family, and quite a few family friends..all counted we will have 40+ people all joining together to give thanks!!     Pam and Dan are fixing the turkey, potatoes, gravy and everyone else will be bringing dishes to add to the 'feast'!!  I am taking 2 different kind of rolls, a topsy turvy apple pie, and probably a veggie tray... 

I was thinking this afternoon that it didn't seem possible that a whole year had gone by and we were only 2 days from Thanksgiving and 34 days until Christmas...Jesus Birthday!!  I have been so conscious of how fast time is flying by the last few months...hubby and I have talked about it a lot..seems like the older we get the faster time goes, but then a lot of people (younger than me) also have mentioned it so anyway, here we are and as soon as we are finished with Thanksgiving I am ready to put our tree up!! It's one thing I like about the artificial tree...can put it up so much earlier. 

Today was a really lazy Tuesday for both of us..hubby decided around noon that Bob Evans pancakes would hit the spot, so instead of eating lunch we went there and had breakfast!!  I don't do pancakes so I had french toast which was really yummy...then we made a trip to Costco for a few things that we buy there.  I did splurge and buy pecans for Christmas baking...along with a few other things...tonight I found some Christmas movies on tv and I am looking forward to watching one of these.  Fred has a meeting tonight so the tv is freed up from the news station!!

Well going to sign off for now..am looking forward to keeping my blog up to date!! Lots of things going on this time of year to talk about, so it shouldn't be too hard!!  


For this Thanksgiving season I want to share this prayer....

Praying You Are...

Blessed in a way that brings God's presence closer than you have ever know it...

Blessed in a way that assures you of the plans He has for your life...

Blessed in a way that fills your heart with a thousand "thank-yous" for all that His hand will bring your way.

May the Lord continually Bless You with heaven's blessings as well as with human joys. Psalm 128:5 TLB
