Happy Monday!

Good afternoon/evening from a beautiful sunny Monday here in Michigan!  It is absolutely gorgeous here...high of 58 degrees today...Hubby and my favorite baseball team..The Detroit Tigers had their opening day today in Detroit and won!!  The weather was perfect!  (Watched it on tv...almost as good as being there!!)  Hubby is rototilling out in the garden to plant some artichoke bulbs that he got in the mail a while back..I was out for a little while cleaning off some leaves from the miniature daffodils..and was surprised at how much more energy I have since losing weight this winter.  I just posted over on Simple Women's Daybook blog so come on over and visit!!

Cloudy, cold Friday..

Woke up to a cloudy, cold 'very' windy Friday morning..Hubby and I have a fun wager going on...who can guess when our first 'warm' (not hot) day of Spring is going to arrive!! So far we are way behind around here in Michigan for warm days...my guess is May 1st and his is May 21st so will keep you posted!!

Yesterday I read this devotional and was so blessed..I think the photo of the sunflowers is what caught my interest first and then I was so glad I stopped and took time to read it so thought I'd share it here.  Enjoy!

When life crowds in on us and pushes us hard, we can forget who we are. We start to look around us and think, “Is this me? Is this who I am now?” Our perspective gets blurred, and the enemy tries to persuade us that we are not the woman God has told us we are—the woman he’s promised we always will be.

Life has ups and downs for all of us. So whether you’re at the end of a hard day, in the middle of celebrating, or somewhere in between, there’s some truth you need to hear. And it’s this: you are not your circumstances.

In all the moments of your life, you are a woman of grace and strength. Even when you feel weak, you have divine power within you that is able to get you through anything. And you are loved far more than you can even imagine. How you feel today, what you’re facing, even what others may say doesn’t change that—and never can.

Who you are is secure forever. And you are a daughter of God, a holy princess, a woman who is chosen and cherished. Nothing and no one can take that away from you. You have within you a God who is bigger than your bad days and stronger than your circumstances, and he will never let you go. He has promised that nothing will defeat you and no one can stand against you.

So keep pressing forward, friend. Hold your head up high and know that you are loved.

Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow.

Whatever has happened or is yet to be can’t change that even a little bit.

And it can’t change who you really are—a beloved child of God who belongs to and with him forever.

Spring Blessings..

Good morning from a cold but sunny Michigan...lots of snow piles left to melt but the calendar says it's Spring!  Thought I would share this short devotional with you..(mostly to make me think it's spring!!)

The Blessings of Spring

Lovely flowers show us God's faithfulness...
If God cares so wonderfully for flowers...won't He more surely care for you? Matthew 6:30

Singing birds tell us of His tender care...
Look at the birds...Your heavenly father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to Him than they are.

Wonderful Monday!

It's been a really good Monday!!  Even though it was cold, it was nice and sunny.  Had a delicious lunch out with 2 very nice young ladies from church..(identical twins by the way)..then I met up with hubby at the Verizon store and we made the big upgrade to iPhones!! We are a bit behind the times but that's ok...we are having a lot of fun with them now!!
