I copied this from a post by Susie Larson on Facebook..she posts everyday and these prayers have blessed me so much..

Start a Day Prayer: Precious Lord, quiet my heart today. Help me to cease striving and intimately know that You are God. I release my cares, worries, dreams, and hopes to You and fully embrace the wonder of knowing and being known by You. Any gift from Your hand pales in comparison to knowing Your heart. For You are the greatest treasure, the Pearl hidden in the field. I celebrate Your presence in my life today. I'm rich beyond measure because I'm Yours! Fill me again with a fresh revelation of Your love. I receive all You have for me today. May I be a source of strength and encouragement to everyone I meet along the way. Amen!

Inwardly Renewed Day By Day

Thursday...already...time is flying!

It is really hard to believe how fast this month of May has gone by.  I was really hoping that the Spring months would slow down a little (sort of like our winter months did!!) But here we are just a couple days away from June!!

It's been sort of busy around here.   Hubby has the vegetable garden all planted...and I started a herb garden this spring.  My job is to take care of planting the flowers and I am pretty much done with that job...here are a couple pictures....

This year I filled the barrel with wave petunias..red, white and blue/purple flowers..For several years I have put hybrid impatiens in the barrel but decided to change it up a little this spring. These were just planted this past week so they are still pretty small but hopefully will fill in nicely.

 Had to share my new bird feeder...I told hubby the birds needed a church too!! 

This weekend we will be celebrating one of our grandson Jake's graduation from high school...his party is Saturday and then the graduation ceremony is Sunday afternoon.  Doesn't seem possible that he is graduating...again all I can say is how fast time is going by!!   I will be making macaroni and cheese for the party..request from my daughter in law!! 

We have 18 grandchildren and after Jake graduates we only have 3 that are still in school. (we do have 3 that are in college also!!)  That doesn't count the 9 great grandchildren that are just starting their school years!!

Beautiful Wednesday

Time for another one of Annie's Meme. Here are my answers to this week's questions.

Weddings

1.Big weddings or small?  I like any size weddings...of course with the cost of weddings it is probably more sensible to keep it on the smaller side.

2. Formal/informal?  Informal.

3. Big sit down dinner or finger foods and cake?  I probably would lean towards a buffet, finger foods and a dessert table.  I would just have a small cake, just for the bride and groom to have one to cut for pictures!!

4. Morning/afternoon/evening?  Afternoon or early evening...ours was a candlelight evening wedding.

5. Large wedding party/small wedding party?  As many as the bride and groom want...it really depends
 on how big of a family etc that they have...

6. Ideal place to spend a honeymoon?  Cruise

7. Live music or recorded?  Live music for the wedding..recorded for reception..

Our granddaughter is getting married the end of June so this was an appropriate meme for me right now!! 

It's a beautiful day here in Michigan..sunny with a few clouds...but 74 degrees...and I am loving it.  Thinking it's time to head outside and do some more  work in my flowers.. tonight we are going to one of the grandkids band concerts...Morgan who is in 7th grade sent me a text this morning to let me know there was a concert tonight!!♫♫♫  Usually we are at church on Wednesday nights but this warrants us missing for this week.
