Fun on Mackinac Island

Hello...it's been a few months since I have been here..no real reason but just been lazy this summer.
Wanted to share some photos of our short to trip to Mackinac Island on September 2, 2012  It was to help our
daughter Lori and husband Bill celebrate their 28th anniversary..they renewed their vows in a beautiful garden and we had a nice lunch with them too.  Bill had arranged for us and their children to be there to surprise Lori...we had a lot of fun and it was a beautiful day...and she was surprised!!

Wow what a day this has been...not use to being on the go all day!! First was the Bible study brunch..left the house at 9 to go to Lori's and then she drove..had a great time..left there around 12:30 and went to Walmart and found a couple 'cheap' tank tops for around home..picked up a few other things and then headed home..got home in time to talk with Fred for a few minutes before heading off for my check up at the doctors..everything went well she said wow it's been almost a year since I seen you!! I said well I haven't been sick, and she said but I missed seeing you!! LOL  The doctors office is starting to put everything on computers..gone electronic I guess so it took a bit longer for the nurse to update all my "stuff" but no problem.  Then Dr. Guntsch and I had a nice chat about all kinds of stuff..including the tinnitus I have been having in my ears!! (which isn't new but just been a little more bothersome lately)...she gave me the name of a ENT that she recommends but said there just isn't a lot they can do about it but wouldn't hurt to have it checked out..so I may..haven't decided yet.  My blood pressure was good...130/75 said that was excellent.  Gave me paper work for my boob smash and also for routine blood work I am suppose to get every year..so nothing big..and she seemed to think I was looking good!! (for my age I guess!!) LOL

This evening I went with Pam to a dance recital.  Kelly is teaching ballet to "little" dancers and they were in the recital so we went to see them..they did real good!! Kelly is really enjoying teaching.

We have had some really warm weather this spring and this month of June has been warm like our July and August.  Tomorrow they are forecasting 100+ degrees which is unusual for us in June!! I think I will be spending some time at Lori's pool!!

We have had the pond for several years but never have been able to get a frog to stay around, so I am hoping this one does...I love frogs!!!

Beautiful SONday!!

Good afternoon! It's a beautiful spring day here...sunshine and blue skies...lovely SONday!!
Had a great service this morning at church...we were blessed to have Pastor Jason King preaching this morning..it's always a treat when he is there to minister to us. Now after having a good lunch of leftover Chinese we are relaxing and listening to the ball game on the radio..won't be long until we will be watching the Detroit Tigers in the regular season..

I just was checking my emails and had this great devotional in one of them and wanted to share it here with any who may stop by...be blessed!!

Spring has sprung in Michigan!

It is an absolutely gorgeous day here in Michigan. We have had a very mild winter with not much snow, but it still seemed like it hung around for quite a while!! Now we are having some unusually mild March weather and I LOVE IT!!!

I took a walk around the back 'acre' to check the flower gardens, the garden and the fish pond...have lots of daffodils getting ready to burst open and the crocuses are up and beautiful...

These are first of the purple ones, the white ones have been blossoming for a few days...

My hubby is getting ready to start the seeds for the vegetable garden...it will be a couple months before the weather will stay warm enough to plant the garden so there is plenty of time to get the plants going.

I have been watching all the birds in the yard...robins everywhere, lots of blue jays and cardinals..the finches are back but not quite as many yet. I am thinking I will put the hummingbird feeder up a bit earlier this spring..(just in case!)
