Labor Day Weekend!

Where did August go??? It seems like the month just flew by. Of course it's my favorite time of the year so I guess I was enjoying it and that's why it went by so fast!!

Well our garden has been keeping us in fresh produce..here are a few photos I have taken over the last couple weeks..told you I'd be back with some photos!! Didn't take me 2 weeks either!! :)

This afternoon hubby brought in another plastic grocery bag full of green beans and one of tomatoes...ok..got the beans ready to cook...then decided it was time to try my hand on making
salsa..I haven't made any in years but it came back to me pretty quick!!




My hubby likes his salsa 'hot' and I prefer it 'mild'....so I made 2 batches and put more jalapenos in one of the batches. He tried it this afternoon and said it was 'really' good!! (But not quite as hot as he likes it, so I may have to doctor it a bit!!) Not too much going on at our house over the holiday weekend...Tomorrow our son Brian and his daughter will be coming down after the Michigan game to spend the night and Sunday with us. Then Sunday is church and in the afternoon our youngest son Tim and his wife are having a pool/food/get together at their house with a bonfire in the evening..then on Monday...I think it'll just be us here at home..no big plans. The 7th is our 54th wedding anniversary so we will definitely go out for a special meal!!

One more photo...we went to the state park a week ago and just sat and enjoyed the weather..(beautiful) and people watched...here's just a shot of the water and beach...(love summer!)
