Happy "Love" Day!!

It's been a great "Love" Valentine's Day. It is always special to me because it was right around this holiday 56 years ago that I met my hubby...I said to him earlier today..do you remember that this is the month that we met 56 years ago and I was only 16!!! He said wow you were just a kid!! LOL I remember my mom saying when she met Fred that she liked him but wasn't he a bit "old" for me?? (He's 4 years older than me) and I said no I didn't think so!! Then about 18 months later we were married much to the chagrin of my older sister who thought I was "way too young"....and she supposedly told my mom that our marriage would never last because I was too young!!

Anyway...about Valentine's Day. I got a beautiful bouquet from my Valentine....



and I made him chocolate covered strawberries ...

then we went out for lunch at our favorite Seafood Restaurant. It was yummy and now we are home for the evening and just enjoying being together!!

Fun Time in Florida..

Can hardly believe that the whole month of January has gone by and I am just getting back here...We had a wonderful 11 days in sunny Florida visiting our grandson...Jeremy, wife....Sabrina and boys Braedon and Colton.. Along with our daughter Pam and her hubby...Here are a few of the 'many' pictures we took!!

Hope to get back here soon and tell you more about our trip...it was great!!

2012!! A Brand New Year!!

Well this whole Christmas/New Year's season has just gone by so fast!! I LOVE this time of the year and I am always shocked at how quickly it's over. I am glad we put our tree up at the beginning of December..that is one of the top reasons that I like the artificial tree. When we use to have a cut live tree, we would wait until around the 15th and then it would start dropping and we'd have to take it down right after New Years..now I can leave it up and enjoy it for as long as I want to.

Today seemed like another holiday..but I did get busy and do the laundry, cleaned house (some anyway) and then late this afternoon we decided to go to Olive Garden and use one of our gift cards for a late lunch/early supper. It was yummy and we had a nice time..now we are watching some tv and I am checking in here when I am not reading on my Kindle Fire. I am really enjoying it..I have read 4 books since Christmas.

I am also starting to read the Bible through in 2012. I have to admit I didn't quite make it last year. I read every day but didn't keep up the schedule like I should to complete the whole Bible so that is a goal of mine for this year.
