On Tuesday we took a day trip to Mackinac Island..this is one place we visit whenever we are in the Mackinaw Area of Michigan. But now since our granddaughter Alyssa, lives on the Island year round and works there we arrange our visit on a day she has off work so we can catch up with her and what has been happening!! This visit we got to meet her new puppy...Cleo who is 5 months old..and we had lunch and supper with her before heading back to St. Ignace on the 8 o'clock boat...it was a really fun day...very humid and not much breeze which is unusual for the Island..but later in the afternoon the humidity lifted some and it was more comfortable.

Ooooooh, thanks for sharing such lovely photos of the island. My hope is to get up there one day. I want to go to " The Grand Hotel".

I LOVE your pics. Can you imagine living there? I think I would like that :) I hope I get to visit that place someday. We could have lots of tea and chats on the veranda :)
