Vacation Tidbits! (Wednesday August 4, 2010)

Well Wednesday was a laid back day spent at the cabin and lots of beach time. Everyone just sort of done their own thing...Fred spent time on the deck reading..I did some of that also but more time spent sitting by the water. The girls did some swimming and tanning time and Lori did some of each...reading, swimming and tanning.

We had seen a sign in the town of Curtis just a few miles up the road from us advertising a concert in the park..so the girls asked if we could all go...so we loaded up the couple fold up chairs (in bags) and headed to town..well we got there a bit early so took a ride to check out other rental cabins/cottages..and as we did that it started to rain..just a nice summer rain but we all thought so much for the concert!! We headed back to the park and it had stopped raining and people were gathering in front of the gazebo/bandshell...well the music started and it was not the girls style of music at all...we sat through a couple songs and then we all decided a trip to the ice cream parlor was a better idea..so we went and had delicious sundaes and then headed back to the cabin..it wasn't exactly what we had planned but it was still fun!!

Here are a few pictures taken on Wednesday..not too many cameras were active! I think Fred took all of these!

So that is my Wednesday the 4th tidbit!! I'll be back with Thursday's...we went to Big Spring in the Palms Book State Park and had a great day...check back to hear about our day!!

Mum - what memories you made! To me, it sounds perfect! I love the photos - still can't get over how very different MI looks compared to how I pictured it. I love the photos in your last post too - the bikes lined up in front of the grocery store is so cute. And the tricycle flower planter - that looks like it screams "Mum!". So pretty! Hope you are having a blessed day. Hugs!
