It's Friday and I'm Blessed!!

It's been a good day here..got lots done around the house and then this afternoon I made 2 desserts for Megan's graduation party tomorrow..(she requested this dessert) Sooooo I thought as long as I had it on my mind I'd share another recipe..yep...Strawberry Pretzel Dessert..

Strawberry Pretzel Dessert

2 cups crushed pretzels
3 tsp. sugar
1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, room temperature
1 c. sugar
12 oz. Cool Whip
2 c. boiling water
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. strawberry Jello
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen strawberries

Mix crushed pretzels with sugar and butter. Press into 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool.

Mix cream cheese and sugar. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread over pretzel mixture, making sure you spread the cheese mixture over the pretzels to the edge of pan.

Add frozen strawberries to hot Jello (Jello and water). Stir until strawberries thaw and Jello starts to thicken. Pour on top of rest of dessert. Refrigerate until set

The rest of my day was just every day "stuff"...Fred worked outside today..mowing grass, got the chain saw out this afternoon and cut up the limb that had broke off one of our trees in the storm last weekend..

We had a sort of busy afternoon yesterday..Fred worked in the garden planting the rest of the veggies and also planted the last of the perennials in our front flower bed...Our grandson Nick is moving from the elementary school (6th grade) to the Jr. High school in the fall and I went to the promotion program they had for his class..so hard to believe he is going to be in the Jr. High..then when I got home we we decided to take a ride to a State park that is about an hour from us...has a nice beach and picnic area..it was quite warm and very breezy...we had a great supper compliments of KFC...best fried chicken around..then we sat and read and just enjoyed God's beautiful natural that was all around us..
