Well here we are...the weekend is upon us, I say this often but it is hard for me to fathom how fast time flies by. A week ago tonight I was busy making strawberry pretzel dessert for Megan's party..and now it's a week later and a busy week again. A few weeks ago we bought wall retainer blocks to put around our flower bed in front of the house..well yesterday was the day hubby decided to go ahead and put them in..the weather was perfect, only about 75 degrees, nice breeze and low humidity. We had been adding some perennials to the bed and a dwarf Japanese red maple tree, a pink spirea but had been putting off the job of the blocks. Well needless to say Fred did a great job on it and here are some before and after photos...

Now I still have some weeding to do and to thin out the ground cover (myrtle) that seems to grow faster than the flowers and bushes!!
Today I haven't been very productive..I am fighting allergies and after taking some meds to help, I was in a sleepy funk most of the day..now this evening it's wearing off and I am getting energy!! Little late but that's ok..

I spent some time outside reading this afternoon..it was around 85 degrees but was a breezy day and very comfortable to sit and read and enjoy the outdoors. This evening all the flowers got watered after the hot sun and wind they needed it. Time to close for today. Praying you all have had a fantastic Friday. Have a great weekend and enjoy God's blessings! ♥

Hi Mum! Love your flower bed (great job Fred!). I can't wait to see everything blooming in there. Loved your prior post too, & to see that you are still having fun with the photos. It is addicting, isn't it? Are you thinking as you take pictures now "This will look pretty with a splash of color left in!" :-) I do that. Hope you have a blessed weekend, & that you find some time to chat with your new 'daughter'. :-) Love you Mum!

Hey Mum, enjoyed your post and seeing your flower bed! I love that you put them on that photobucket slide show! I'm going to have to learn that too!
