Then I ran some errands..finally found some small plants to put in the planters I got for Kari's bridal shower. Kari is our grandson Josh's fiancee and I volunteered to fix some small planters to put on all the tables at the shower (on the 23rd of July). These will be used for prizes and also dress up the tables. When I get them done I will take some pictures and post them here.
Then around 4:00 we went for lunch/supper at the new Sonic's drive in..Megan started there a couple weeks ago and did her training at one already open about 40 minutes from us..this one is only about 20 minutes from here and opens to the public tomorrow. She could invite friends and family to go today and we got 50% off our meal..it was really good and we had a good time with Megan and Lori. Ed and his family went also and the kids loved it!! The rest of the group went back to Lori's to go swimming but Fred and I headed on home. He wasn't particularly interested in swimming and it didn't matter to me.
Okay now to catching up on our day yesterday. It was Fred's 75th birthday and Pam and Dan took us out for lunch at The Seafood restaurant in Sylvania..it was really good and we had a lot of fun with them..then in the evening I had gotten Fred a German chocolate cake (his favorite) and we had cake and ice cream..he got phone calls or emails from all the kids so that was good..I don't think he has a clue that we are going to be having a surprise party for him Friday night at Lori's!! Fred only has a brother and he lives about 4 hours from us..He called Fred yesterday morning and they had a great chat and he wished him a happy birthday! Couple photos that shows Fred on his special day!!

Pam had this put announcement put in our local paper...

Oh how wonderful!! It looks like your husband had fun on his birthday. That is so sweet of Pam to put it in the paper. Have a nice evening!! ((BIG HUGS))!!
Wow, you have been busy. So glad Fred had a wonderful birthday and I am so sure he is going to love his surprise birthday bash. :) Your sneaky little critters.
It must be lunch time here, because when you mentioned Sonic in your post, I got hungry. The nearest one to us is about 20 minutes too. Maybe I can persuade hubby to make a road trip tonight.
Hope you have a great rest of the week.
Hugs,
Cindy
